| One of my most favourite times of the year is Autumn. There is a fresh, crisp nip in the air, bright sunny days and everything feels new and possible. I love that kind of back-to-school anticipation and excitement vibe that this time of year brings. It inspires me to want to clean things out, freshen them up and get raring to go. This always starts with the bottomless pit I call my handbag. One of my yearly purchases is always a new one and this year’s coveted possession is a cobalt blue Balenciaga that is not only big enough to house the maqueage but also a few nappies and baby wipes for Finn - ahhhhh … it is so exciting being a ‘Mummy’! |
|
| The wardrobe also needs to be gone through – sarongs and kaftans packed away (boo-hoo!) and cosy clothes to be categorized. This season, I am going to try and keep it simple with well-tailored pieces that I can jazz up with accessories. And, can you believe it, I am replacing stilettos with pumps so as to be more stable while carrying my little man. |

The passion of late for the hair is headbands and I think we can all keep abreast of the check and plaid trends with fanciful hair accessories. Miss Selfridge has a gorgeous stock that will keep your tresses terrific.
My big splurge has been on a Diane Von Furstenburg black and white checked swing coat that has three quarter length sleeves and looks great thrown over jeans or even over a little dress.
A new favourite past-time are walks in Battersea Park with ‘The Finnster’ and visits to the Battersea Park Zoo which is just the cutest place around and a perfect spot to meet up with other Mummies for a snack. You will also catch me completely absorbed in this season’s must have book – “There Is A Spiritual Solution To Every Problem” by Wayne W Dyer published by Thorsons – www.thorsons.com |
